oh, good grief charlie brown!

DMNDAYS make some cool dubstep. remixing horse the band? that's an amazing idea! i've been wanting to work on a song like the "rape escape" remix for a while, but they just crushed my dreams of it being any good. how can it beat out that song? exactly. it can't.

Horse the Band - Rape Escape (DMNDAYS Remix)

the moment i heard the beginning of this song, i somehow knew i would love this. and i do. the BEST part is when they take the teachers "wah wah wah" and make it wobble too! hahahaha. genius.

Good Grief! - DMNDAYS

scooter and levelle!

oh my god, scooter and lavelle. this is originality at its finest. a house dj (lavelle) on two turntables, mixing with a hip hop dj (scooter) on his own two turntables scratching away. yes that makes four turntables. scooter isn't limited to hip hop in this project though. he mixes in melodies and parts from every kind of song from rock to hip hop to 50's style radio tunes. he even scratches some quotes from cheech and chong (song number 6) and does some really catchy and CREATIVE shit. this mix is is over an hour long and is even divided up into songs to make it WAY more convenient to listen to on a cd. these guys are talented and original like no other. download the mix below and tell me that's not absolutely delicious.

The Ocarina of RHYME.

this is the coolest thing i've heard in quite a long time. some of the best rappers flowin' on some old school zelda 64 songs, straight from gameplay. it doesn't get much better than this. it's from team teamwork, and i'd have to say they did a damn good job of taking the tracks and sound effects from the game, and mixing them into these kickin' beats. the song "Still D.R.E." has a track made entirely from the simple "DUN NUH NUH NUHHHHHHH!" noise when you open a treasure chest. simply badass. i do have to say, however, that there are parts where this release shines, and parts where it definitely doesn't. the good outweighs the bad though, so get to downloading. ;)

3y3 l1k3 d00bst3p FTW

that would be "i like dubstep" for all you non 1337 5p34k3rz (leet speakers) out there. i really think this is a style anyone can love, with it's roots being based on electronic music with a fusion of hip hop. perfect for chillin'. these are dubstep essentials, with some of the biggest names in the biz.

holy shit. listen to the noises in this song. crazy stuff. i like how it takes some dialogue straight from iron man. "your services are no longer required."

Excision & Datsik - Calypso (Original Mix)

these next two artists are some of the biggest in this genre. we'll start off with nero. he is making some HUGE noise everywhere, especially with his new remix of deadmau5's "ghosts n' stuff." here's a few more i think everyone should hear. (listen to that japanese guy in shaolin style. HA.)

Bar 9 - Shaolin Style (Nero Remix)

The Streets - In the Middle (Nero Remix)

RUSKO<33 (don't judge me for the hearts.) i put one of his songs in my last post, but he's got a library full of kick ass tunes. no lie. all crisp and clear sounding from his masterful production skillz. i could go on for days about this guy, but i'll let the music do the talking.

The Prodigy - Take Me to the Hospital (Rusko Remix)

Leon Jean-Marie - Bring it On (Rusko Remix)

Rusko - Mr. Chips (Original Mix)

Little Boots - Remedy (Rusko "Big Trainers" Remix)

Bionic Commando (Rusko Remix)

this song BUMPS. if you have a system i would recommend blastin' that shit, because caspa knows how to bring it!

Art of Noise - Moments in Love (Caspa Remix)

another up and coming artist like nero is DOORLY. super creative, switching up noises like wolfgang gartner. here's some good ones.

Basement Jaxx - Raindrops (Doorly's Under New Management Remix)

Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone (Doorly Remix)

benga benga benga. tasty tunes if i've ever heard one. feast your ears on these.

Benga - Crunked Up

Benga & Walsh - Bingo (Original Mix)

BONUS!

this song is not at all dubstep but it's a classic. herve is the man, and if this song was mortal kombat, it would be a flawless victory. one of my favorites ever. enjoy!

Kidda - Under the Sun (Herve Remix)

ZOLTAN!

yeah, i'm a follower of zoltan. first time i've dressed up for halloween in a while. costume party should be badass! we just need some kickin' party music like this:

deadmau5 is the man. you all know this. but i love it when he changes up his style. this is way different than his usual. reminds me of flying lotus a bit.

Deadmau5 - Failbait

speaking of flying lotus, here's a nice little remix he's done of "a milli" by lil' wayne. chill and ill. btw, he's been featured on adult swim commercials/"bumps" if you're a viewer.

A Milli (Flying Lotus' Robo Tussin Remix)

here's one everyone needs to know. rusko is one of the best producers out there if you didn't already know. this song is a classic and takes me back, so you should DEFINITELY check it out if you haven't.

Kid Sister feat. Kanye West - Pro Nails (Rusko Remix)

holy SHIT talk about back in the day. if you haven't heard of crookers then you need to get out from under that rock. party starter if i've ever heard one. so so soooo dark and dirty. the drop around 2:55 is forever a classic. MY BABY IS NOT AT HOME!

The Bumblebeez - Dr. Love (Crookers Remix)

josh david is a beast. bringing the deep buzzin' bassline and side chain compression. he also goes under the name of breakdown which his other project. here's one from each. (i wish remix FTW)

Calerway - Mirrors (Josh David Remix)

Skeelo - I Wish (Breakdown Remix)

bloc party + armand van helden = great success! bloc party's style mixed with van helden's housebeat blastin', bassline crunchin' goodness (with more side chain compression!) is perfection. check it.

Bloc Party - Signs (Armand Van Helden Remix)

let's finish it off with some foamo. that's always good. this guy has the catchiest tunes with bass wobbles wetter than a waterpark and dirtier than a pigpen, while still being poppy and catchy as hell. getcha some foam.

Franz Ferdinand - No You Girls (Foamo Remix)

Cagedbaby - Forced (Foamo Remix)

First post ever.

i figured i would start it off with some g00dz.

i saw that thomas gold had done a remix of this song, and as usual, he delivered. it brings in all the vocal parts, which leads into an upbeat housey banger.
Shiny Toy Guns - Don't Cry Out (Thomas Gold Remix)

roy rosenfelD has always been a favorite artist of mine. he always creates a sound that's so poppy and catchy, while still being dark and perfect for some hard dancing. this song leads more towards poppy, and is a nice party starter.
Roy RosenfelD - Funky Shit (Original Mix)

one of the most epic releases of late in my opinion. all hail felguk. that's all i have to say.
Neelix - Disco Decay (Felguk Remix)

this song just makes you feel flat-out happy. i had never heard of joe and will ask until just recently when i heard their mix on edgeclub, but they have some real hits.
Grum - Heartbeats (Joe and Will Ask? Remix)

this last one is a crazy fidget-house ride straight from calvertron. wah wahh wah wahhhh.
Sawgood - Ctrl Ur Brain (Calvertron's Jedi Mind Trick Mix)
